The local Morena committees in Mexico will renew their figures between November and December, with uncertainty surrounding the succession of Sebastián Ramírez and the future of the party in the capital.

Morena's Renewal Process Advances in CDMX

The cherry party is carrying out the renewal of all its local committees in the 32 states of the country. This restructuring aims to strengthen the internal force of the party after the elections in June and the recent changes in its leadership.

The first states to carry out this process will be Querétaro, San Luis Potosí, Yucatán, and Tabasco on November 9. Nationally, the president of Morena, Luisa María Alcalde, confirmed that the renewal of the state council will take place on Sunday, November 24, in Mexico City.

Despite the uncertainty surrounding the future leadership and the succession of Sebastián Ramírez, who assumed the Ministry of Tourism, Alcalde has been responsible for announcing the calls for the renewal processes in the different states, which will take place between November 9 and December 1.

Alcalde's latest tour included Querétaro, the only state among the first four to be governed by the opposition. In Mexico City, the renewal process is scheduled for November 24 at a hotel in the Miguel Hidalgo borough.

The uncertainty about the future of Morena in the capital lies in the lack of definition regarding Ramírez's succession and the variety of names being considered for the new authorities. Sources close to the party agree that the head of government, Clara Brugada, will play a decisive role in the designation of the new authorities, bringing clarity to the leadership landscape of Morena in Mexico City.
